The demand for integrated building management systems is constantly growing. More comfort, safety and energy saving have become the design expression of homes and offices, designed to make their function optimal. The answer to this need is the Konnex Systems, it is the only global open standard for intelligent control and management of homes and buildings. By eliminating the problem of “island” solutions, these systems ensure that all components communicate by means of a common language, as KNX products, made by different manufacturers, can be easily combined – the KNX brand guarantees interworking and interoperability. Thanks to the KNX transmission medium, all the bus devices connected to it (twisted pair, radio frequency, conveyed wave or IP / Ethernet) are able to exchange information. Bus devices are sensors or actuators required for the control of building management equipment such as: lighting, blinds / shutters, security systems, energy management, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, signalling and monitoring systems, interfaces for monitoring and maintenance systems for buildings, remote control, accounting, audio / video control, household appliances etc.
All these functions can be controlled, monitored and signalled by a single system, without the need for additional control panels. KNX has been approved as an International Standard (ISO / IEC 14543-3), as a European Standard (CENELEC EN 50090 and CEN EN 13321-1) and Chinese Standard (GB / Z 20965).
